With the advent of the covid-19 virus in 2020 and now going on, it is very important to have good healthcare facilities.
In place for any major emergencies and for the well-being of the population. Overall we did research on which hospitals overall may offer the best quality of services. We can’t have the discussion without first stipulating why one hospital is better than another.

Other hospitals may be the best in regards to employment for healthcare professionals,
One might have a better cancer treatment center than another, but a third hospital might have better equipment for their NICU. So they can’t be ranked an actual best but we could rank them based on some overall qualities in the process.

1. Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital
Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital is the best well-known Hospital in Ghana. The hospital provides 24 –hour emergency service to critical patients.
This hospital specializes in urology, nephrology, and cardiology. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) includes a Coronary Care Unit, and a Medical Intensive Care Unit, and is furnished with over 1600 beds in 2022. The hospital was established in 1923, Now the hospital is Ghana’s flagship hospital, providing a comprehensive range of the most complex clinical care to thousands of Ghanaian patients each year.
2. The Ridge Hospital ( Greater Accra Regional Hospital )
The Ridge Hospital was built in 1929 to provide healthcare for British nationals during the colonial era. The new hospital is characterized by a warm patient-centric approach, technological superiority, and research facilities. The beds have been increased from 150 previously to 500.
Ridge Hospital at Ridge employs more than hundreds of multidisciplinary staff that together provide life-saving treatment to over a quarter of a million people each year.
3. Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital
Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital located in Kumasi, Ghana is furnished with excellent infrastructure and equipped with the best doctors and research facilities for several diseases. The Hospital was named the Kumasi Central Hospital when it was established in 1945.
Currently, the Doctors are currently tasked with training medical students and offering quality clinical and non-clinical care and training.
Komfo Anokye is equipped with modern technologies, qualified doctors, and trained medical staff. It specializes in the treatment of children’s heart diseases but does not have the capacity to conduct robotic surgery, plastic, and cosmetic surgery, etc
4. 37 Military Hospital
37 is the largest military hospital in the Republic of Ghana after the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. To facilitate the people with world-class healthcare amenities. The hospital boasts of its perfect ambiance, healthcare facilities, and the additional provisions it offers.
*The hospital’s name at this time was No. 37 General Hospital; it was changed to 37 Military Hospital of the Gold Coast in 1956. The hospital was later expanded and opened to the public, although the hospital continues to be staffed primarily by military personnel. source

The center is well-known for cancer treatment. It specializes in the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Sweden Ghana Medical Center is also known as Cancer Research Centre.
