The success of his flagship, Poly Products (Ghana) Limited, in manufacturing film packaging encouraged him to expand rapidly into other segments including woven sacks, flexible and rigid packaging, storage tanks, corrugated boxes and pipes, and subsequently in other neighbouring countries. With his penchant for trade still vibrant, Ram went on to establish international trading operations in Asia – in Hong Kong and Taiwan along with partners. These units traded very actively with Africa, primarily in consumer durables and general goods. With the manufacturing base and international trade activities as a platform, Ram went on to extend the activities along the supply chain by establishing consumer durable, plastics and chemicals trading and distribution businesses across various countries. As founding patriach and Chairman, he continues to pay a strong interest in all the business units and frequently travels to various different operations across the world.
