Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi, after debuting the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro globally last month, they have now set its sights on its most premium traditional smartphone for the year, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

When the company announced the 12S Ultra, it decided not to release the handset worldwide.

This year, however, the new Xiaomi 13 Ultra will expand its distribution to reach the global market.

The new device was spotted in a leak live last month. There have been some slight incremental design changes done to the smartphone. The upcoming offering is seen with DSLR-like circular camera module housing four sensors including a periscope lens. There is Leica branding that confirms the presence of the legendary camera maker on the smartphone. The back panel of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a vegan leather finish.

Xiaomi’s solid-state battery would allow the Xiaomi 13 to offer a 6,000 mAh capacity within the same package size as the 4,500 mAh capacity shipping in retail units.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 6.73-inch AMOLED display, a 1440p resolution, and a 1-120 Hz variable refresh rate. According to Xiaomi, the Xiaomi 13 Pro utilizes the Samsung E6 panel, which also peaks at 1,900 nits and offers 1,920 Hz PWM dimming, not DC dimming.
