Faster A16 Bionic chipset

Performance-based, the A16 is one of the new features. The A16 Bionic inside the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is built on a 4-nanometer process. unlike the 5nm A15.

Apple is predicting a big boost in power efficiency. In fact, the A16 should consume about 20% less power than its predecessor.

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max also continue to offer industry-leading durability features with the Ceramic Shield front cover — tougher than any smartphone glass — and are protected from common spills and accidents with water and dust resistance.

Dynamic Island

Dynamic Island, offers new interactions for notifications and activities
The Dynamic Island feature on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max delivers a whole bunch of alerts and notifications, seemingly expanding and contracting on an as-needed basis. It features a design that blends the line between hardware and software.

Always-on display

The date and time on your iPhone 14 Pro’s lock screen will always be there, as will the widgets you can add thanks to the lock screen customization features added via iOS 16. Even the lock screen wallpaper remains visible, though dimmed so that it won’t drain your phone’s battery. (Our battery life testing will tell the tale there.

48MP Main camera

iPhone 14 Pro introduces a new class of pro camera systems, with the first-ever 48MP Main camera on iPhone featuring a quad-pixel sensor, and Photonic Engine, an enhanced image pipeline that dramatically improves low-light photos. Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via Satellite

The entire iPhone 14 lineup introduces groundbreaking safety capabilities that can provide emergency assistance when it matters most.

With a new dual-core accelerometer capable of detecting G-force measurements of up to 256Gs and a new high dynamic range gyroscope.

Crash Detection on iPhone can now detect a severe car crash and automatically dial emergency services when a user is unconscious or unable to reach their iPhone.

iPhone 14 series come with the ability to connect with satellites and deliver pieces of information that can aid with a rescue. It will be available in November 2022, and the service will be free for two years.
